How the Open Knowledge Management Platform Shall Support Knowledge Management

Welcome!

Teams, IDA-Communities, and TOPICS pages are new instruments for enhancing knowledge management in GIZ. They are designed for supporting co-creation and collaboration beyond organizational units and even at a global scale. Nevertheless, challenges remain: How to tap the richness of experience gained by experts and partners working with GIZ? How to manage huge quantities of documents and media and make them available through more precise search functions? How to decentralize administration and the generation of content in a process of co-creation? These were some of the questions that led to the development of the resource recovery.net platform that also took over content from projects like SWEEPNET and from the Sustainable Chemical Platform. The idea now is to develop this platform further into a dedicated platform for Circular Economy that would be open for GIZ and registered external users.

Let us know what you think about this complementary tool. What would you need for effective knowledge management?
